It’s one thing to gather information and warn the public of certain imminent dangers as a talk show host that covers “conspiracy theories,” but when members of Congress address the same concerns, I think it’s time for Americans to pay close attention.
For the past couple years I’ve been sharing information on Flow of Wisdom Radio about the possibility that the U.S. could face an attack from an Electromagnetic Pulse. This phenomenon can occur by way of a solar flare or as a man-made weapon.
Recently, there was a hearing “Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP): Threat to Critical Infrastructure” on Capitol Hill. It was before the House Homeland Security Committee’s Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Security Technologies to look into effects an EMP would have on U.S. citizens.
Rep Michael McCaul stated, “We talk a lot about a nuclear bomb in Manhattan, and cybersecurity threat to the power grid in the Northeast, and all of these things would actually probably pale in comparison to the devastation that an EMP attack could perpetrate on Americans.”
Congressman Trent Franks told the Washington Free Beacon that “while the nation’s critical defense assets, including nuclear defense capabilities, are currently protected against an EMP, the civilian grid is “almost entirely vulnerable.”
Stories like these should be at the forefront of the media so public awareness can put the pressure on Congress to do something to protect the civilian grid. If the statements of these Congressmen don’t alarm you, then I’m not sure what will wake up the American public to the reality of a potential crisis we face.
Here is the most recent episode of Flow Of Wisdom radio where I get into more depth on this subject and more. Be informed. Be prepared.
