New Political Party
I really love my country. What I think we need is a new political party. We have the Democrats and the Republicans. We need an additional party called the Americans. I hear people all the time talking about “I’m a Democrat” or another one saying “I’m a Republican” I just wonder where all the Americans have gone. That is so funny to me that either party thinks it has the best answer yet they mainly vote party lines so that people think what they have to offer is the best. What I wish every American would do is take stock of what each party has to say get the facts and vote accordingly for what will make America better.
Take for example the last year Clinton was in office the Republican controlled congress voted to deregulate the banking industry to save money. What we are suffering today is a direct result of that action. Greed took over without the check and balances being in place. What that tells me is that we can’t trust big business to do what they say they will do. Take the time and check it out.
We have become more of a global economy. For example Proctor & Gamble has move their production plants to Mexico (cheaper labor) saying that in order to sell their products in other countries they need to have production site there. Then they complain that they are too heavily taxed. Well while they are enjoying cheaper labor cost in Mexico jobs have been taken away from America. The stock holders are happy that the profits are higher and therefore give the CEO’s huge bonuses and people wonder why the unemployment is so high and who is going to buy our products right here in America if no one can get a job.
I’ve been voting for 42 years now and every election I hear from the Republicans that if we give big business a tax break they will be able to create more jobs. They create more jobs for overseas and other countries and then they wonder why our unemployment is so high. They even have a comedy TV show about outsourcing which is a slap in our faces and we are supposed to laugh.
Now you have husband and wives working two or more jobs to just get by. The children are left alone to raise themselves. The divorce rate is high, medical care has been crazy for those who don’t have medical coverage and those that do have to pay an arm and leg. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and the middle class is disappearing. America was at its strongest when we had a large middle class. Where are the Americans? As bad as I believe our system is I can’t think of a better one.
One last thing. I pray that we don’t cast our vote on emotional issues. We are just fooling ourselves if we believe that pro-choice or pro-life is going to be answered by congress. Those issues will be answered by God when the time comes. Study, get the facts and vote on what is best for America not for a political party.
I’ve sent this out before but felt a need to repost it. Come on America, wake up!

Alvin – I think you make a lot of valid points. Jobs, Banking industry, Health Care, Oil Prices and so on…
And the senseless rhetoric going back and forth between the left and the right, the liberals and the conservatives.
Should we have a third party? Great question to ask and discuss. What should it be called? (The Americans)What are the issues? I think that would be an excellent show. I will begin preparing for that in the near future.
