Scripture: I Peter 5:7-11

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober , be vigilant ; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about , seeking whom he may devour :
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while , make you perfect , stablish , strengthen , settle you.
11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Notes
1. He wants to destroy your trust and faith in people. You need brothers and sisters to gird you, uphold you, stand with you and pray with you in your walk with Christ.

2. Resist the devil and he’ll flee from you. Resist him in prayer. Resist him by standing on the word of God.

3. Once you get to a place where you are no longer resisting satan, you are agreeing with him, then you are in his hands and he will mold you.

4. Living is not easy. Life gets hard. Something unexpected occurs and sin comes in. Satan will make you vulnerable. He’ll entice you. He’s a tempter. He will never do that if you’re walking in communion and fellowship with the Lord. Sin is not the major weapon used against you, life is then sin comes in.

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while , make you perfect , stablish , strengthen , settle you.

What suffering does;
Perfect = to bring together
Stablish = set you resolutely in a certain direction
Strengthen = to confirm the spiritual power that is in you. “greater is he that is in me than who is in the world”
Settle = to be grounded

People lose hope but you can be restored. You need a spiritual Christian that can restore you.

Love
Patience
Discernment
