Sometimes we tend to hold on to our past so long that we end up not grabbing what is in stored for us. Holding onto the past is like trying to run a race holding two grocery bags. You will slow down and eventually use up most of your energy quicker, enabling you to sustain enough energy to finish the race.
We already have enough things to deal with in life anyway. So why carry around stuff that isn’t relevant today. Find a way to release jealousy, bitterness and anger. Those feelings don’t affect the one you are directing them to. To be honest, the person you are holding old grudges against are probably not even thinking about you.
