Are You Still Waiting For Your Dream to Come True?

Lately I have been really trying to focus on resting in the Lord.  First let me say that I am a very driven person.  I have certain goals that I am eagerly trying to achieve and my drive to succeed keeps me constantly pushing, trying to get certain dreams to manifest.  Then I got a revelation…

If we look at what a farmer does to harvest crops, he first plants seed into the ground, adds fertilizer and waters it.  Then it’s the waiting game.  Next, I was reminded of seasons.  There is a season to plant and a season to harvest. Ecclesiastes 3:2 says,  “A time to plant and a time to pluck what is planted” (NKJV).  Once that seed is planted, fertilized and watered, the growth begins beneath the soil.  The roots begin to dig deep into the ground establishing its foundation. Above ground we see nothing.  We begin to think that nothing is happening and frustration starts to set in.  Then out of nowhere you see a little bud sprout up.  You then have a little joy and excitement, but then here comes the weeds, rodents, snakes and insects trying to ruin everything.

So now, not only are you anticipating this harvest to come, but you are fighting away which seems like everything under the sun just to protect that seed.  So here I am reading Psalm 37:3, “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.”  So what is faith?  Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV)  I can’t fully see the seeds that I planted last year, but because of my faith, I have intangible evidence that there will be a harvest coming soon.  Verse 5 in Psalm 37 says, “commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”  Verse 7, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him…”

Faith, trust and patience are important ingredients for seeing through a manifestation of those goals and dreams you aim to achieve.  Be sure to put on your Armor and pick up your sword to fight off the enemy, because we are at war.  A spiritual battle.

I hope this helps someone. – Sean Anthony

There is no such thing as a point A to point B. life has meandering roads, sometimes we gotta go around B to C and get serious about our lives. our futures. our present moments.
