Dear Sean,
I’ve got bad news from Capitol Hill.
The U.S. Senate is preparing to vote on an anti-gun bill on Monday.
It’s a renewal of a 1988 law banning so-called “undetectable” firearms.
Sadly, House Republican leadership rammed this bill through a virtually empty room earlier this week and sent it to Harry Reid’s Senate.
President Obama and anti-gun Attorney General Eric Holder have been waiting all year for this legislation to come up for renewal.
That’s because if re-authorized, it could give them the ability to impose drastic new regulations on major firearms components.
Worse, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is preparing to tack on even more gun control to it.
He wants to expand it to crack-down on 3D-printing and outlaw manufacturing certain types of receivers, gun moldings, and plastic magazines.
This law is set to expire on Monday, so the gun-grabbers are scrambling get it to the President’s desk before midnight — loaded with as much anti-gun language as possible.
But the good news is that you can help kill this gun ban once and for all.
Please take a moment to contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to oppose the so-called “undetectable” gun ban in its entirety, at once.
*** Sen. Tim Kaine can be reached at (202) 224-4024.
*** Sen. Mark Warner can be reached at (202) 224-2023.
When you speak to them, let them know that a vote to reauthorize the so-called “undetectable” gun ban is a vote for more gun control and less freedom.
Please do not wait.
Act today.
For Freedom,
Dudley Brown
