Al Sharpton doesn’t speak for all Black people in America! – Sean Anthony

This is a message to white talk radio hosts continuously making statements referring to Reverend Al Sharpton edging black people on and inciting racial tension.

Hopefully, this is a reality check. Black people of today are not listening to Al Sharpton. It is you talking heads on the radio that’s listening to him. It is your cameras and microphones that is giving attention to Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. It is not black people.

You guys are giving him way too much credit for his influence. In fact, it is you guys in the media giving him too much camera time but yet you criticize him for using it. How much sense does that make?

His influence may be strong with the 60 year olds and up, but today’s middle class black population and younger are not paying this guy any attention.

Young people that are protesting and using social media to vocalize their sentiments of the unjust society in which we live in are following the beat of a different drum.

Just because he might not talk for ALL does not mean that he doesn’t talk for MOST. The way I see it, he is essentially one of two men who are the Popes of blackness. He and Jackson speak and people listen. There might well be dissident groups out there but one could get a pretty accurate view of blackness from these two, just as one could draw conclusions about Roman Catholicism from papal declarations and sermons

You say Al sharpton dosnt speak for all black america I would agree, but neither does Jay z. They say Al sharpton was a snitch ! If he was a snitch he was a SNITCH against WHAT…. A white underground mob organization whoes goal was to push drugs in the streets and black youths of the Gettos in Black América ? Jay Z on the other hand sold more drugs to are black people who are most likely either in prison or dead as a black mother cries out for her black child meanwhile Jay z got richer from the price of blood money. I wouldnt choose either, bit if I has to pick I would choose the snitch who did what he could to bring a white hate racist mob down who was killing are people with drugs then to be an ex drug dealer whoes earned his way to the top threw the blood money of his down black people. And you say Jay z. The way PLEASE….. im the youth of today Sharpton Wins !
