On last weeks Flow Of Wisdom show I began by asking “Where is the compassion?” Which was more about people taking to social media to bash others for sharing their sentiments about the Paris attacks and not mentioning or knowing of other attacks in Africa and other places.
Nonetheless, it appears that the Satanic Temple Minneapolis is showing compassion to Muslims that may be “afraid to leave their home out of fear for some kind of backlash.”
The post is now deleted from their website replaced with this statement below:
“A post was made earlier without the knowledge of The Satanic Temple. This post was removed because The Satanic Temple focuses its advocacy exclusively on broad ideals that affect everyone and only promotes campaigns that it can effectively execute. The Satanic Temple believes that all people should act with empathy within the bounds of reason.
Any further media requests should be directed to our national leadership.”
If you peruse through the comments on their Facebook page, they are receiving quite a bit of support. They also claim that they are not doing this for any publicity but, “comes from a place of genuine compassion for our fellow human beings.”
What are your thoughts on this action? If you were in trouble and needed a place of asylum, would you take the Satanic Temple up on their offer?
